Our customers are municipal, non-profit or private hospitals in at least a tense economic situation, in some cases even insolvent. As a rule, we take over the management of these hospitals by means of a so-called operational management agreement. HMG provide the operationally responsible managing director and, depending on the situation, other managers. In addition to creating a healthy economic situation, our managing directors clearly focus on maintaining good quality standards in medicine and care and not in contradiction.
For us, renovation is primarily about implementing an efficient cost structure. Growth is then required to ensure the sustainability of the renovation measures. The essential elements are:
- Analysis of the existing situation and assessment of the short-term performance of the hospital as well as development or sharpening of the medical concept and quantification of the medium and long-term development potential
- Development of a personnel structure based on the short-term performance of the hospital and taking into account the specific circumstances as well as (socially acceptable) implementation of any necessary personnel measures
- Developing a plan to reduce material costs in the short and medium term and setting up a structure for its implementation, including – if necessary – the renegotiation of all major service contracts (e.g. catering, laundry, pharmacy, laboratory, etc.)
- Implementation of procedural improvements that lead to tight management of available capacities on the one hand and a reduction in length of stay
- Implement a proven reporting system with weekly performance reports
- monthly financial reports with reliable and reliable figures
- as well as ongoing liquidity planning.
